XR Impact Network Announces New Partnership

XR Impact Network Announces New Partnership

What can we learn from organizations who have served pediatric patients delivering therapeutic games for over 20 years in over 190 hospitals-- and counting across the globe? It turns out, quite a bit.

Trusted by over 190 hospitals, Child's Play Charity has raised over $59 million dollars to deliver therapeutic games including VR technology directly to pediatric hospitals to improve patients’ lives through the power of play. Led by Executive Director Travis Eriksen, Child's Play's sheer longevity, fundraising achievements and impact made on the lives of children in this cutting-edge space shines.

Child’s Play Charity knows not all Child Life Specialists are gamers—nor are all parents or caregivers. Their novel Therapeutic Video Game Guide features valuable therapeutic insights on games and VR Apps-- to help children in hospitals cope with pain, sadness, anxiety, and boredom.

Developed in collaboration with market research experts at Circana, and mental health professionals at the University of California San Diego, this resource guide is gifted to Child’s Play network hospitals to further support the use of therapeutic gaming and helping children to Play Games, Feel Better™. It is relied upon by Child Life gaming technologists and caretakers alike.

We are delighted to share that through our new partnership, Child's Play generously expands access to their valuable Therapeutic Game Guide to allow children beyond hospital settings to also benefit from these insights-- including those participating in the VR 4 Kids Program at Maggie's Wigs 4 Kids of Michigan and XRIN community.

Our partnership now enables, caregivers, parents and families anywhere, to find this useful guide and insights including direct links to these specific, Meta Quest-ready VR Apps HERE on XR Impact Network!

We are privileged to partner with outstanding organizations like Child’s Play that enable us to achieve a shared mission of scaling access to wellness and therapeutic VR. Together, we activate new options to meet caregivers, families and children with the right XR tools to navigate health challenges -- where and when they need it.
